    ARTIST STATEMENT...I was liberated early on in my career to focus on design - using materials that are rare and expensive, and materials that are the product of man's magical imagination.

    Purple sapphires do exist, but matching them is difficult - purple diamonds ha!

    So again, Man's Magical Imagination has saved the day, bringing us a plethora of colors of Cubic Zirconia, which has a hardness of 8.5, and perfect for use in Pave.

    As a Gemologist I have chosen to properly pave - no glue - every stone is hand set.

    Pave requires the use of harder stones:  diamonds, sapphires, cubic zirconia.
